Agricultural Finance

Globalisation has spurred agricultural trade around the world, but emerging economies exporting raw materials see little local value addition. Because poverty persists among farmers and local food security remains an enormous challenge, innovative agricultural finance and investment promotion along the agricultural value chain have become an imperative in many countries. Financing agricultural MSMEs must consider the risks inherent in this sector and the higher transaction costs. Our approach specifically addresses the financing needs of regionally active agricultural businesses, allowing partner institutions to mobilise additional credit demand.
